The view from my apartment.
Look closely and you can see a cactus growing out of the brick wall.
The church bells start ’round 6am.
And continue arrhythmically in several minute chunks every ten minutes or so drowning out the practicing mariachi bands and screaming clowns. Really.
But now the sun is setting on the mountains (just behind la Parroquia, visible from my bed that stands on stilts resting on the roof of the shop below). The noise is fading with the heat.
Oh wait. I think I hear some sort of brass instrument. And now someone singing. And the bells are ringing again. A police siren. Wind. Roof dogs.
La Parroquia is suddenly lit.

We can almost call them thumbnails.
